Texans are hard working, loyal, and proud, some mistake this as arrogance. There is no other state that displays its symbols as much as we do in Texas. The Texas flag, state outline, and Lone Star can be seen painted on barn roofs, mailboxes, business signs, everywhere and anywhere. Texas pride comes from working hard and accepting personal responsibility. Texans don’t run from a fight and faces the hardships of life with a hard-headed determination. Texans love the simple life, love for family, love for God, and love of freedom. They enjoy the simple pleasures of life, swimming on a hot day, sitting on the porch with family and friends, making home-made ice cream. Texans boast of things being bigger in Texas, big hats, big hair, and big belt buckles to name a few. There is a bumper sticker that adopted Texans display, “I Wasn’t Born in Texas But I Got Here as Fast as I Could.” Did I say that some mistake our pride as arrogance, well, they might be right.
